About The Position

The Intermodal Driver hauls freight to and from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania rail yards on local routes, completing 2–5 loads per day. Drivers are home daily, and the tractor remains at the terminal while they are off. The role offers several workweek schedules: Thursday–Monday, Friday–Tuesday, or Wednesday–Sunday, with start times between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Better shifts may become available based on seniority. Christmas is off.

Pay is activity-based and includes mileage pay of $0.62–$0.67 per mile, $88 per stop, $57 per drop/hook, $45 per driver unload, $40 per hazmat load, and $23–$33 detention pay per load. Other compensation includes $210 holiday pay, $200 per day during new-hire training, safety bonus opportunities, and paid online orientation. Hazmat endorsement fees totaling $60 are reimbursed. The company provides PTO from day one, a 401(k) with company match, and medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days, as well as six paid holidays.

The work uses manual and automatic trucks, with an average truck age of approximately two years. The position is slip-seated and includes on-site management and full-service maintenance. Hazmat endorsement is required within 60 days of hire.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Obtain a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Able to drive manual or automatic trucks.
• Non-smoker.
• Drivers with SAP are not eligible.

Responsibilities
