Overview Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. May collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, or products. May develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation. Background The Federal Protective Service (FPS) operates a 24x7x365 national operations center , known as the Federal Protective Service Operations Center (FPSOC) or “The Watch,” which serves as the central hub for situational awareness, information coordination, and operational reporting across FPS. FPS relies on contractor support to assist with watch desk operations, incident monitoring, information synthesis, and briefing production , ensuring timely, accurate information sharing in support of operational and leadership decision-making. Contractor personnel also support virtual Emergency Operations Center (vEOC) activities, Incident Management Team (IMT) deployments , and the maintenance of a Common Operating Picture (COP) to enable coordinated response across FPS and partner organizations. Responsibilities This position must be covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
