About The Position

Overview Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. May collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, or products. May develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation. Develops training programs and implements training modules for Senior and Junior Watch officers and data analysts. Identifies and administers formal and ad hoc training sessions, exercise, and evaluations. Background The Federal Protective Service (FPS) operates a 24x7x365 national operations center, known as the Federal Protective Service Operations Center (FPSOC) or “The Watch,” which serves as the central hub for situational awareness, information coordination, and operational reporting across FPS. FPS relies on contractor support to assist with watch desk operations, incident monitoring, information synthesis, and briefing production, ensuring timely, accurate information sharing in support of operational and leadership decision-making. Contractor personnel also support virtual Emergency Operations Center (vEOC) activities, Incident Management Team (IMT) deployments, and the maintenance of a Common Operating Picture (COP) to enable coordinated response across FPS and partner organizations. Responsibilities Responsible for the quality of deliverables provided and performance of contract watch standers. Manges watch functions, processes, and information flow. Maintains situational awareness of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) related events, incidents, and threats. Prioritizes tasks and efforts and coordinates information gathering and reporting with other Federal Protective Service (FPS) Elements. Conducts training for all watch personnel and shifts to ensure compliance with production and watch activity guidelines. Assures and controls production and service quality as related to communications, information transmission, and data/information presentation. All duties performed under this position are done so independently.

Requirements

  • 12 years of experience in operation centers, emergency management, dispatch, first responder (law enforcement/fire/rescue) or related work with 8 of the 12 years in Management.
  • Security Clearance:Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance. Clearance processing and entry on duty are subject to government approval, and candidates will not be permitted to begin work until all required security requirements are met.
  • Educational Requirements : Minimum requirement of a BA/BS.
  • A current PMP® certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is required for this role.
