About The Position
Intermediate Cook (Per Diem) St. Catherine of Siena Hospital Smithtown, NY About Our Community St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health, serving the North Shore of Long Island for over 50 years. Our campus features a 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital, a 240-bed nursing/rehab center, and a 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of institutional or quantity cooking experience required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work comfortably over hot stoves and ovens.
- Ability to safely lift heavy pots and kitchen equipment weighing 50 to 130 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- 90-hour course or equivalent education preferred
Responsibilities
- Direct, engage in, and oversee the high-quality preparation and serving of food for patients and special functions.
- Efficiently set up, break down, and restock your dedicated work area.
- Coordinate daily work schedules seamlessly with the hospital meal schedules.
