About The Position

The Intermediate Business Analyst supports the Continuing Care and Mental Health Services team by enhancing the technology and business processes that support Long Term Care, Home Care, and Mental Health and Addictions services across Saskatchewan. In this role, you will provide business analysis expertise for multi-user, mission-critical systems, ensuring they meet operational and client needs. Acting as a change agent, you will lead and contribute to business improvement initiatives, support system enhancements, and help align technology solutions with organizational priorities. Through strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, you will drive continuous improvement in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within an integrated support environment.
  • Experience applying business analysis, requirements gathering, and business process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into effective solutions.
  • Experience developing business documentation, including requirements, business cases, process flows, test plans, and project-related documentation.
  • Knowledge of software testing, change management, project management methodologies, and integrated IT or healthcare environments.

Nice To Haves

  • IIBA CBAP certification considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage changes to business processes and technology solutions to support program and operational priorities.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and functional specifications.
  • Develop test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing to support projects, releases, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with health partners and stakeholders to identify reporting needs and coordinate solution delivery with technical teams.
  • Provide business and technical support for technology solutions, including incident management and issue resolution.
  • Prioritize issues and manage your area’s workload.
  • Facilitate communication between end users, subject matter experts, technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in leading and participate in multiple projects, working groups, and continuous improvement initiatives that support strategic priorities.
