About The Position

The Intermediate Business Analyst serves as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role focuses on understanding business needs, analyzing processes, and delivering data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and support strategic mission objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of proven experience acting as a Business Analyst or in a similar systems analysis role.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD 8140 (formerly 8570.01-M) IAT Level I.
  • Ability to obtain CI Poly Clearance
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), and enterprise software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ERP systems)
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management frameworks
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
  • Map current state ("as-is") and design future state ("to-be") business processes to identify gaps and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to translate business needs into actionable system specifications.
  • Query and analyze operational data to uncover trends, build reports, and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Assist in creating test plans, developing test cases, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet mission requirements.
