About The Position

We are expanding our team and opening new remote opportunities! We invite an Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team working on backend integration initiatives for a major payment technology company serving over 275,000 U.S. businesses. In this role, you’ll help improve merchant onboarding by simplifying and accelerating complex system integrations and workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to define requirements, manage dependencies, and support delivery. Work on large-scale fintech and payments systems used by global merchants within a Fortune 500 company. Gain hands-on experience with API integrations, backend workflows, and complex cross-team dependencies. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience working on backend-focused, integration-heavy projects
  • Strong understanding of APIs and backend integrations (requests, payloads, push/pull flows, API contracts)
  • Ability to create and interpret technical and workflow diagrams
  • Experience contributing to product roadmaps
  • Strong systems thinking and end-to-end process mindset
  • Experience managing cross-team dependencies and complex workflows
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business requirements and facilitate technical discussions
  • Ownership, follow-through, and persistence in resolving dependencies and blockers
  • Proactivity, self-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Technical Business Analysis, software development, or a Computer Science/Engineering degree
  • Experience in fintech or payments industry
  • SQL skills for data analysis
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in BA workflows

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements for backend integrations
  • Work with engineering teams to design and support API integrations between systems
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Design and maintain end-to-end workflow and integration diagrams
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to align on scope and delivery priorities
  • Identify and help resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and blockers
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and refinement; participate in Agile ceremonies with the team
  • Communicate status, risks, and key decisions to ensure smooth delivery
