If you see yourself in these Values, we have an opportunity that may interest you. We are currently looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Trading, Financial Reporting, the Intermediate Accountant is responsible for the following key responsibilities:

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related degree, combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related role and have completed, or be actively working toward a professional accounting designation (CPA). A related combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Detailed oriented and possess strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, team-focused environment;
  • Have a solid business acumen, customer focused and comfortable working with confidential information.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems and Excel as well as demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in using AI-assisted technologies, including Copilot-style tools

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and general ledger monitoring, including full working paper/audit file preparation, detailed account reconciliations and analysis;
  • Action settlement activities, including reconciliation of invoice information with counterparties, invoice payment, monitoring bank account activity, and processing invoice and settlement activity;
  • Work closely with other departments within EE to resolve any settlement discrepancies;
  • Prepare government and other regulatory reports related to EE’s business;
  • Ensure internal controls over financial reporting for which you are responsible to support, perform, review or sign off are executed in accordance with the Company's SOX program.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, mainly via telephone and email;
  • Prepare other routine and ad hoc analysis and reports.
