About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2-5 years of accounting experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of general accounting principles, is comfortable working independently, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
Analytical problem-solving ability
Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with accounting software (Sage, Kova, Microsoft Dynamics)
Experience in home building

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain job cost entries, including direct cost and closing entries
Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
Assist with variance analysis
Maintain various schedule and monthly/quarterly reporting to home office
Support audits and provide documentation as required
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data and communicates financial information to department heads & product line managers
Ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
Backup accounts payable when needed
