About The Position

As an Interline Baggage Ramp Agent, you'll play a key role in ensuring passengers’ baggage is accurately transferred, staged, and routed to the proper destination. You’ll work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment where teamwork, safety, and attention to detail are essential. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to pass a physical capability test. (SEA and SFO only)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain an airport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance.
  • Ability to work any shift, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and Holidays.
  • Lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with others.
  • Ability to work at a constant and quick pace.
  • Understanding and ability to utilize electronic tools to interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information.
  • Performing basic mathematical functions. (e.g., counting bags)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous airport experience.
  • Previous experience working in a physically demanding or safety critical job.

Responsibilities

  • Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage from conveyor belts.
  • Deliver passenger luggage to designated locations within an allotted timeframe.
  • Safely drive and operate ground equipment, such as tugs, in areas of congestion.
  • Operate baggage scanners to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
  • Monitor weather conditions and take appropriate safety measures.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier safety and security requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support McGee’s successful business operation.
