About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Interiors Shipside Manager to join the VC-25B program working on the interior of this iconic jet in San Antonio, TX. This role will have oversight and execution responsibilities for shipside support and both internal and external supplier integration on several work packages. While partnering with the senior leader, this role will have opportunity for visibility with program and engineering leaders to support key milestones. This role will have a strong focus on shipside engineering execution and turn time metrics, both development and maintenance, as well as technical project and program management of a cross functional team execution. Collaboration and strong communication with operations, other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), customer, and suppliers will be paramount to the success of this role. This role requires experience leading integrated teams to develop complex solutions. Strong foundational understanding of aircraft support including change management and supplier oversight is required.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences) or Equivalent technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience working cross functionally and/or managing external supplier relationships.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
