Requirements

  • Be a student or recent graduate of a certified Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) course.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift
  • Successful candidates for this position must successfully complete the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. “US Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble aircraft interior panels and assemblies using established processes and procedures.
  • Work with materials such as adhesives, resins, honeycomb core, carpet fiberglass, and aluminum; cut, layout, and process raw materials accordingly.
  • Install fittings, including latches, hinges, and brackets, and prepare panels for adhesive application through sweeping, sanding, and cleaning.
  • Apply decorative finishes following established procedures and complete bending and assembly using jigs, fixtures, and templates as needed.
  • Create vinyl laminate layups based on patterns and sequences developed by higher classified employees.
  • Hook up and adjust thermocouple leads and vacuum controls, operate platens, and adjust temperatures for bonding decorative vinyl laminates and panels.
  • Perform routing, drilling, and riveting tasks as required.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions, ensuring quality through visual checks and in-process rework.
  • Maintain necessary records and operate vacuum platen tables, loading and unloading ovens to accomplish bonding operations.
  • Utilize various shop power tools, including routers, table saws, band saws, and drill presses.
  • Perform qualified wire routing on prefabricated wire bundles and oxy installations.
  • Bleach materials to match color samples and cut miters on plastic or metal materials for assembly fit.
  • Operate information systems as required to perform assigned tasks.
