This role involves leading teams in planning and developing solutions for technical and design detail problems within interior architecture projects. The architect will be responsible for managing project budgets and schedules, supervising the preparation of technical drawings, and creating client presentations. A key aspect of the role is ensuring that construction documentation adheres to quality standards and incorporates sustainable design principles. The architect will also mentor junior staff, foster collaboration within the project team, and manage project software and standards. Client communication is crucial, involving verification of design requirements, progress reviews, and final presentations. The role also requires technical problem-solving, coordination with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors, product research, and assisting with material selection and system research. This includes managing BIM or other 3D models, ensuring HOK document standards are met, and archiving documents appropriately. The architect will also participate in site visits, field reviews, and project meetings, coordinating shop drawings and samples. They will also be involved in project reviews concerning costs, budgets, and schedule adherence, and will apply QA/QC methods throughout the project. Support for team members in specific market, discipline, or expertise areas, including construction administration and defining project work plans, may also be required.
