About The Position

This role is responsible for removing, repairing, installing, and/or fabricating custom aircraft interior assemblies and components. The technician will perform various tasks related to aircraft interiors, including the removal and installation of cabin monuments, door liners, floorboards, and decorative elements. The position involves interpreting technical manuals and drawings, working with a helper to understand procedures and maintain high standards of interior presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism. The technician will also perform cleaning tasks, document work, and ensure tools and equipment are handled properly. Continuous improvement, communication with leads, and professional customer interaction are key aspects of this role. The company emphasizes exceeding customer satisfaction through the timely re-delivery of airworthy, reliable, and clean aircraft.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED.
3+ years’ experience in the fabrication, repair and installation of custom VVIP / VIP aircraft interiors.
Proficient in oral and written English.
Must report for assignment with personal set of standard trade-specific tools.

Nice To Haves

Aircraft maintenance experience on current fleet types being maintained or modified by the Repair Station.
Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with an Airframe rating.
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, structure repair manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes - Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.
Able to read, interpret and apply FAA approved or accepted data i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM proficiently.
Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.
Effective decision-making skills.
Dependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately.
Motivation: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy.
Organization: very detail oriented and always comes prepared.

Responsibilities

Removal and installation of cabin monuments including galleys, lavs, credenza’s, bulkheads, deco panels, closets, vanities etc.
Removal and installation of door liners due to plated items involved and doors requiring opening up which require further investigation to ensure doors are deactivated.
Blueprint drawing interpretation along with (AMM, IPC, Customer Supplied Supplement Manual).
Interpretation of LOPA’s in support of cabin reconfigurations.
Perform floorboard removal and installation.
In conjunction with a helper learning to interpret the manuals in support of the task being performed. (AMM, IPC, Customer Supplied Supplement Manual).
In conjunction with a helper understanding the VIP/VVIP interior presentation that is performed at all times during work being performed. Cleanliness, customer service, overall professionalism etc.
Lower dado panel removal and installation.
Removal and installation of wet barrier mylar.
Removal and installation of seats.
Removal and installation of decorative sidewall, ceiling, valance, door surrounds, MSA window shades.
Removal and installation of existing moon mats.
Removal and installation of insulation throughout the aircraft.
Accomplish specific cleaning tasks in support of maintenance requirements.
Aircraft interior technicians inspect, remove, repair and install aircraft interior pieces, including doors, galleys, seats, bulkheads, floorboards, emergency path lighting, gill liners, closets, galleys and lavatories.
Become familiar with and follow the requirements of the RSQM, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circular, manufacturer’s service bulletins and any other required references to perform their assigned work.
Never begin any maintenance unless in possession of the proper, current and applicable approved or acceptable data.
Ensure the work area is kept to the highest standards of safety, compliant at all times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents.
Ensure that good housekeeping practices are performed at all times.
Perform the proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts and panels appropriately stored including racks by aircraft.
Perform documentation procedures and sign-offs in accordance with Repair Station Quality Manual and respective task requirements.
Ensure that tools and equipment are correctly used and handled for both safety and to reduce breakages, wear and tear.
Ensure tooling, GSE and ground equipment is returned to its proper storage area following use.
Strive for continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in execution and delivery with safety as a priority.
Maintain close and frequent communication with the Lead Technician, notifying him/her of progress and any road-blocks or threats to task accomplishment that could impact re-delivery.
Deal with customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner.
Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable and clean aircraft, in a timely manner.
Take part in any required training as determined by the company.
Other duties as assigned.
