About The Position

Amwins is seeking an Interior Designer to join its in-house Real Estate team. This role is for a designer with at least two years of experience in corporate or commercial design who is looking for an opportunity to see projects through from concept to completion, build relationships, and directly impact the workplace experience. The designer will be part of an in-house team that collaborates with external firms to create environments supporting employees nationwide. The team establishes and maintains design vision, guidelines, and processes for the Amwins workplace experience. This position offers project ownership, coaching, and support for professional growth, aiming for the individual to become a trusted resource known for strong judgment, thoughtful design, and delivering outstanding workplace experiences. Requirements

  • 2+ years in a corporate or commercial interior design practice.
  • An accredited (CIDA) interior design degree.
  • NCIDQ certification, or actively working toward it.
  • Fluency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator).
  • Comfortable producing graphic renderings.
  • Real graphic design ability and strong graphic presentation and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of interior design construction drawings and detailing, building systems, and ADA requirements.
  • Project coordination experience working directly with consultants and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain organized project files for efficient documentation.
  • Receive and edit AutoCAD files and develop Revit models for test-fitting and space planning.
  • Develop and refine test-fits for field offices, aligning with workplace guidelines and design goals.
  • Collaborate with external design firms, communicating project requirements, feedback, and design standards.
  • Partner with the internal real estate team to ensure workstreams are aligned and progressing.
  • Review construction document sets and support construction administration to ensure alignment with Amwins standards.
  • Prepare seating plans, amenity location plans, and other resources for office relocations.
  • Assemble internally coordinated signage, graphics, and branding packages for approval.
  • Develop welcome packets for employees in newly opened locations.
  • Support the selection and coordination of artwork and design elements to reinforce brand standards.
