About The Position

As an Interior Designer with Gensler's team in Tampa, you will combine creativity, technical knowledge, and business acumen to create functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will collaborate with teammates on design solutions and manage the design process through construction documentation and administration for core and shell and interior architecture projects. Success in this role requires the ability to translate concepts into 2D/3D models and images, and to research design challenges. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university.
  • 4-8+ years of project-based commercial interior design experience, ideally in Workplace, Professional Services Firms, Financial Services Firms, or Headquarters.
  • Proficient with Revit, SketchUp, 3D, Enscape, and other modeling software programs, such as Rhino, Grasshopper and/or Dynamo.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must).
  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.

  • Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practices.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED AP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation.
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
  • Generate floor plans, finish plans, specifications, and material selections for construction.
  • Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts.
  • Manage Construction Documentation and Construction Administration to support the delivery of project design intent.
  • Work on multiple teams and support concurrent projects in various phases of project delivery.
  • Manage external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
  • Produce test fits and project deliverables using strong Revit skills.
