About The Position

Dewberry’s Architecture Team is seeking an energetic Entry Level Interior Designer with well-rounded experience to join our Orlando, FL office. Experience in Federal/Local Government, Commercial and Corporate building types is desirable. This position requires a minimum of 1-year overall experience where you will develop and execute appropriate design solutions as well as project team involvement regarding client satisfaction and quality control. Requirements

Bachelor of Interior Design and/or Architecture degree from an accredited University is required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in interior design with an Architecture/Interior Design Firm is required.
Ability to obtain state license and a NCIDQ certificate is required.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp and other modeling programs.
Proficient in Creative Adobe Suite applications specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials and specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
A design portfolio demonstrating interior design experience will be required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Federal/Local Government, Commercial and Corporate building types is desirable.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles, LEED AP or interest in obtaining LEED AP or Green Globes credentials is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on single or multiple interiors projects under the supervision of a registered interior designer for all phases of design.
Assist with generation and documentation of programmatic and visioning requirements.
Develop and update space plan concepts.
Select and coordinate FF&E, color palettes, material selections, furniture systems and specifications.
Assist project team with coordination of the drawings, specifications and materials.
Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittments and samples.
Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
