About The Position

This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership, brand, and operations teams to conceptualize and deliver innovative, on-brand restaurant, nightlife, and hotel spaces. The Interior Designer will play a key role in translating Tao Group’s distinctive aesthetic into immersive guest experiences while ensuring functionality, durability, and operational excellence. This position will also support the ongoing design needs of existing venues in addition to new openings and brand development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or nightlife environments
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Revit
  • Strong understanding of space planning, materials, lighting, and FF&E specifications
  • Experience working on projects from concept through construction administration
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate quickly and respond in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel for site visits and project installations as needed
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day
  • Must be able to read the computer monitors and print legibly
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move quickly through work and set the pace in the office
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of interior concepts for new venue openings, renovations, and brand refreshes
  • Produce space planning layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and detailed design presentations
  • Create and maintain design documentation, including construction drawings, FF&E specifications, and finish schedules
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure design intent is executed accurately
  • Source furniture, fixtures, lighting, materials, styling elements, and accessories for venues and new brands
  • Support the design, styling, and ongoing needs of existing venues across the portfolio
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address design challenges, and ensure quality control
  • Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
  • Stay current on hospitality design trends, materials, and innovations to continuously elevate Tao Group venues
  • Ensure all designs meet local codes, ADA requirements, and operational needs
  • Support post-opening evaluations and continuous improvement of design standards
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
