As an Interior Designer III, you’ll bring your experience to meaningful projects that shape the communities we serve. You’ll have the opportunity to have visibility on larger scale projects and work closely with functional leadership on strategic planning for project plans or in addressing technical issues or concerns and carry additional responsibility in the overall success of functional projects. You will participate in collaboration with talented professionals across disciplines, and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. This is a professional position that requires a pro-active candidate capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy while managing work and projects. Most importantly, you won’t be expected to do it alone. You’ll be surrounded by a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration, shares knowledge, and is invested in your success. As an Interior Designer III, you’ll serve as a trusted subject matter expert on Interior projects, helping guide projects of significant scale and complexity while supporting the people around you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in Interior Design
  • 8+ years proven interior design experience
  • Computer skills required: (Microsoft Office Suite; Revit; Rendering software minimum)
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection and installations
  • Experience with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite or other design programs
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, ADA Codes, building materials and construction details
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Sharp eye for quality assurance and an attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt with changing business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a licensed professional is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project
  • Liaise with Project Manager, Architects and consultants
  • Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects
  • Coordinate with departmental leaders on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies
  • Participate in projects appropriate to the level of this position
  • Provide subject matter expertise on specific components of Interior Design
  • Have the responsibility to carry out these design assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or design
  • Work with a senior-level designer on more complex projects
  • Assist in learning the needs of assigned clients
  • Work across disciplines and office locations to fully utilize firm experiential knowledge
  • Represent the firm in all aspects of projects and assignments to prospective employees, clients, and the communities we serve
  • Continually participate in Individual Development planning and programs
  • Demonstrate ability to respond to common inquiries from Clients or regulatory agencies
