About The Position

KTGY's Interior Design Manager manages the development of design, design presentations, and/or the production of technical project documentation. This role manages design in CAD format (AutoCAD or Revit) and presentation materials, and leads efforts required to produce Construction Documents and FF&E Specifications. This includes the research, communication, and documentation necessary to execute projects effectively. The Interior Design Manager is responsible for managing the development of design, design presentations, and/or the production of technical project documentation, managing design in CAD format (AutoCAD or Revit) and presentation materials, and leading and may contribute to efforts required to produce a set of Construction Documents and FF&E Specifications; namely the research, communication, and documentation required to execute the project effectively.

Requirements

  • Accomplished understanding of design principles and theory.
  • Creative judgment and design application skills in managing or preparing client presentation materials including: graphic sketches, renderings, graphics and selection of colors, materials, finishes and furniture.
  • Experienced in all phases and aspects of the design process including predesign, design documentation, FF&E specifications, construction administration and procurement.
  • Ability to manage small/ medium scale projects of complexity and provide project team leadership.
  • Ability to lead and conduct quality control measures in the development of construction documents and specifications, budgets, documentation.
  • Ability to support and complement senior management at client presentations and meetings.
  • Ability to manage team and may act as day to day client contact for project design development and design related issues.
  • Ability to manage design efforts and coordination with consultants throughout the design process.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates employee development of junior designers to senior management.
  • Manages small/ medium scale projects of complexity and provides project team leadership.
  • Leads and conducts quality control measures in the development of construction documents and specifications, budgets, documentation.
  • Proactively seeks to balance the unique needs, perspectives, and aspirations of all stakeholders, including clients, end-users, and the project team.
  • Cultivates a positive team culture that inspires trust, engagement, and a shared commitment to project success.
  • Supports and complements senior management at client presentations and meetings.
  • Participates in industry events, forums, and conferences as required.
  • Manages team and may act as day to day client contact for project design development and design related issues.
