About The Position

As an Interior Design Intern at Corgan, you will not just observe but actively learn, contribute, ask questions, and experience being part of a professional interior design team. You will collaborate with world-class architects and designers on real projects across one of ten project sectors, applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges in a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters growth, exploration, and impact.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Professional, CIDA accredited degree in Interior Design.
  • Familiarity with Revit and eagerness to learn additional relevant software and programs.
  • Collaborative work style, professional communication skills, and careful attention to detail.
  • Proactive, positive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work as part of a diverse team.
  • Full-time in-office presence.
  • Long periods working at a computer and desk regularly using computers, monitors, headsets, office equipment, and video/audio technology.
  • Collaborate continuously and communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Work effectively in an open-seating office without a private office.
  • Ability to manage multiple stimuli, including office noise, conversations, and interruptions, while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • Frequently standing, sitting, walking, talking, and hearing.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Travel to other offices as needed (10-15%).
  • This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience working on real projects from concept through construction.
  • Develop design and technical skills in Revit, construction documents, detailing, materials, renderings, models, and presentations.
  • Learn how architects balance design, codes, budgets, schedules, and construction requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, project managers, and consultants while receiving mentorship and feedback.
  • Explore a variety of project types and discover areas of interior design that interest you most.
  • Build your professional network through community service, team events, Lunch & Learns, Forum presentations, and other Corgan activities.
