About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Interior Design Intern to be based in Boston, Massachusetts. The position is expected to start in Summer 2027. The intern will perform entry-level assignments intended to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria while following instructions from senior staff and meeting schedules with quality work.

AECOM is hosting an invitation-only hiring event in Boston on October 21–22, 2026, for career opportunities starting in Spring/Summer 2027. The event includes a Wednesday evening networking mixer and Thursday interviews at AECOM’s Boston office. Relocation is not available. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in Interior Design.
• Must have completed at least two years of study.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Introductory Revit skills.
• Ability to work on multiple, fast-paced projects and documents.
• Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Portfolio submission is required to demonstrate skill set.
