About The Position

The Interior Planning Coordinator supports the Facility Planning, Design and Construction Department by coordinating space allocation, space planning, move management, and signage/wayfinding activities across the health system. This role is also responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of interior finish and furniture standards in support of renovation, relocation, and capital projects. The Interior Planning Coordinator serves as a key resource for project teams, operational departments, consultants, and vendors to help ensure interior environments are functional, maintainable, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards and healthcare operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of interior materials, furniture systems, and space planning principles.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups in a healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facilities Management, Space Planning, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in interior planning, furniture coordination, facilities planning, healthcare design, or related environments.
  • Experience within healthcare, hospital, or institutional environments.
  • Familiarity with furniture systems, interior finishes, and space planning processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using Tango (or similar space management/IWMS platforms), CAD, or facilities planning tools.
