About The Position

The Building People has a position for a full-time Interior Architect in a prominent federal agency in the Washington, DC area. The successful candidate will have a solid background in all aspects of interior design and related construction planning and development. The team is actively involved in small and large project design development, construction document preparation and project execution of unique projects. This position requires travel in the Continental United States. This position is for an upcoming position, and applications are being accepted for this anticipated need.

Requirements

• Solid background in all aspects of interior design.
• Solid background in related construction planning and development.
• Experience in small and large project design development.
• Experience in construction document preparation.
• Experience in project execution of unique projects.

Responsibilities

• Gather information, interface with all stakeholders, and prepare documentation guiding interior design functions related to various project.
• Apply OSHA and ADA requirements, and all building and safety codes.
• Work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Present data and plans to all stakeholders– both in person and via email, phone and other means of communication media.
