About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is partnering with an innovative, high-growth technology organization supporting critical national security and intelligence missions to identify an Interim SEC Reporting Manager. This immediate need will support the company's external reporting function while a permanent search is underway. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on SEC reporting professional who thrives in a fast-paced public company environment and can quickly contribute to filing deadlines, technical accounting requirements, and reporting accuracy. Immediate start required. Expected duration of 2-3 months. Primarily on-site in Herndon, VA with some flexibility for 1-2 days remote work once established.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Significant SEC reporting experience
• Hands-on experience with Workiva and SEC filing systems required
• Experience with XBRL/iXBRL tagging platforms required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate independently
• Willingness to be hands-on and support day-to-day reporting activities

Nice To Haves

• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including periodic filings and related disclosures
• Manage and execute XBRL/iXBRL tagging requirements
• Utilize Workiva and SEC filing platforms to prepare and review reporting packages
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of External Reporting and reporting team members
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
• Assist with reporting processes, documentation, and filing support
• Perform detailed reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness
