About The Position
This position is an Interim role estimated to start mid November and go through early March 2027. The Interim Raw Materials Assistant would assist the Raw Material Team with development and tracking of raw materials that serve brand and business needs. Adhere to sourcing strategies and Nordstrom requirements and meet product development calendar expectations.
Requirements
- Understanding of raw material types and how they are used in apparel design and development
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Nice To Haves
- Experience in apparel textile industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Apparel/Textile Design in progress or completed
- Experience with Flex PLM
Responsibilities
- Maintain visual and physical raw material references with complete and current information
- Intake, organize and purge the raw material library
- Prepare shipping documentation and packages/ collect and distribute mail / track packages
- Assist with organizing boards, preparing presentations/reports, and gathering data as needed
- Maintain physical display of strategically positioned materials
- Assist coordinating on site visits and onboarding suppliers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
