About The Position

The primary focus of the Interim Marketing Manager is to maintain current marketing processes, supporting the marketing team, and ensuring continuity of marketing initiatives. This role is anticipated to begin as a flexible part-time position (approximately 20-40 hours per week) depending on the department's needs. While this is an interim role, the individual selected may be considered for future permanent opportunities, though continued employment in a permanent position is not guaranteed and will depend on the Chowgirls needs and performance. The Interim Marketing Manager reports to the Hospitality & Sales Director.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all digital and print marketing
  • Oversee design of digital and print assets, packaging, and merchandise
  • Lead the strategy, execution, and performance optimization of digital (Google, Meta, etc.) and print advertising, with accountability for measurable lead generation and booking growth in collaboration with the Sales and New Business Development teams
  • Implement marketing strategies in collaboration with sales and leadership teams to facilitate revenue increases
  • Collaborate with IT to optimize website structure, content, and performance,with accountability for website traffic, conversion rates, and engagement metrics, ensuring that we meet or exceed industry standards
  • Collaborate with Event Design & Sustainability Manager to conceptualize, plan, and execute photoshoots and marketing events, ensuring effective resource allocation and ROI
  • Analyze marketing campaigns and report on ROI, and adjusting strategy to improve performance
  • Collaborate with Founders routinely on projects, such as brand vision and meeting on a regular basis
  • Use analytics from all channels to understand and market to target audiences
  • Collaborate with New Business Development Initiatives committee on new market opportunities, target audiences, and outreach initiatives
  • Ensure cohesion between marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives
  • Collaborate with Hospitality & Sales Director to create the annual marketing budget
  • Monitor actuals and forecast changes to budget, communicating via director prior to financial meetings
  • Maintain brand consistency across all channels, including the website, social media, email, and internal and external communications
  • Maintain brand assets and templates company-wide
  • Ensure adherence to style guidelines and brand kit
  • Maintain brand kit across multiple platforms, including Adobe, Canva, and Google Workspace
  • Maintain organization of brand assets within Google Drive and Flickr
  • Manage usage of Marketing Team softwares, including Adobe, Canva, Later, and Mailchimp, in collaboration with IT
  • Manage the Marketing Team, including the Graphic Design Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, Social Media Coordinator, and any other roles within the department
  • Schedule, manage, and approve hours through Nowsta
  • Manage time-off requests through BambooHR
  • Oversee team performance, providing coaching and implementing disciplinary measures as necessary, in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain clear lines of communication with team members through one-on-ones, team meetings, and annual reviews
  • Proactively communicate work and personal schedule through Slack
  • Attend and actively participate in all required company meetings
  • Respond to internal and external communications within 12 hours
  • Present a professional positive attitude among coworkers, vendors, and clients
  • Facilitate information flows throughout workplace
  • Maintain availability for communication by phone, Slack, and email
  • Maintain employee privacy at all times
  • Keep all Chowgirls information confidential, including internal documents, policies, procedures, recipes, and customer/venue/vendor information
  • Always promote Chowgirls in a positive light at the office and in the community
  • Present a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times when representing Chowgirls on social media and at all events
  • Cultivate general knowledge of Chowgirl's’ handbook, history, values, and vision
  • Guide peers and Chowgirls forward by sharing identified strengths or skill areas of specialization
  • Commit to professional development, building a broad portfolio of skills and increasing mastery of current skills
