Interim Director of Pharmacy – Behavioral Health
About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring an Interim Director of Pharmacy / PIC for a behavioral health hospital in the Bethlehem, PA area . This position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist with inpatient experience who is comfortable leading pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting. This role includes both operational leadership and staffing responsibilities , including supporting the setup and development of pharmacy processes within the facility. Assignment Details Start: ASAP Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM On-call: Required Weekend Coverage: Order verification from home at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM (approximately one hour each time) System: Epic (training provided onsite) Automation: Omnicell (experience preferred, training available) Setting: Behavioral Health Hospital
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Ability to work independently and support pharmacy program development

- Behavioral health experience preferred
- Omnicell (experience preferred, training available)
Responsibilities
- Serve as Director of Pharmacy
- Perform pharmacist staffing duties including order verification and dispensing oversight
- Support pharmacy operations including medication ordering and Omnicell stocking
- Attend leadership and operational meetings
- Assist with new pharmacy program development , including policies and initial setup
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
