About The Position

The Interim Director of Human Resources is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all HR functions across the College. Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the President's Cabinet, this role plays a key part in aligning HR strategies with institutional goals. The position focuses on driving organizational effectiveness, supporting workforce planning, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Proven experience in HR management with strong functional expertise
  • Experience in labor relations and contract negotiations
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to interpret employment laws and HR policies

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in HR, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
  • Experience in higher education, ideally in a community college setting
  • Familiarity with public sector HR regulations
