The Child Behavior Specialist provides a safe and effective clinic-based therapeutical and learning environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Behaven Kids. Behaven Kids is the most unique and recognized program in Nebraska, with over 20 years of experience in changing the lives of the children we serve. Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma.
  • Must be nineteen years of age.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field or 3 years experience in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
  • Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provides a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Interacts with children in a professional, positive manner.
  • Implements Behaven Kids model of care and curriculum.
  • Implements treatment goals and objectives.
  • Prepares, updates and maintains documentation and children’s records.
  • Identifies and develops treatment goals and objectives.
  • Communicates treatment progress and concerns with parents, staff and supervisor.
  • Facilitates staffing including managing staff breaks, opening and closing.
  • Serves as a crisis intervention and bodily fluids/blood borne pathogen clean-up lead.
  • Assists with inventory management of clinic supplies and materials
  • Assists with the cross training of Child Behavioral Tech’s and Specialists.
  • Assists with monthly DHHS checklists
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
