26-075: RED DEER IFT INTERNAL POSTINGS
About The Position
Associated Ambulance IFT Red Deer is seeking Expressions of Interest from ACoP-registered Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) and Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) for Permanent Full-Time (PFT) and Temporary Full-Time (TFT) opportunities in Red Deer, Alberta. Successful candidates will report to the Operations Manager and/or Regional Support Supervisor and will be part of a collaborative, patient-focused team providing high-quality interfacility transport services. This role involves the safe care and transportation of non-emergent patients between medical facilities, including admitted patients for testing or treatment, and transfers between healthcare facilities within Alberta Health Services Zones.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic Course or Emergency Medical Responder Course
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s License
Responsibilities
- Completing and submitting all required documentation, including patient care reports.
- Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and ambulance bays.
- Ensuring transport units are fully stocked and operational.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, emergency medical personnel, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Safe care and transportation of non-emergent patients during routine transfers between medical facilities.
