About The Position

Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) is seeking qualified and competent experts with skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas to join their part-time adjunct faculty pool. The college is committed to providing a high-quality learning environment for students, utilizing the focused expertise and experience of its faculty in classrooms, laboratories, and online platforms. Adjunct faculty positions are part-time, non-benefited, and intended for the 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 academic years. Applications are held in pools by discipline and consulted when positions become available. Applicants will only be notified if selected for an interview, which could occur anytime from shortly after applying to a year later. Adjunct applicants are encouraged to indicate their availability by completing the Adjunct Faculty Questionnaire.

Requirements

• Masters degree with a major in course content area
• Evidence of competence in the area of instruction
• Maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years teaching experience in a community college

Responsibilities

• Instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes
• Instructional preparation
• Assessment of student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion
• Availability to students by appointment when mutually convenient
• Attendance at not more than one faculty meeting per session
• Other duties as required
