About The Position

This position requires a clinical license and Qualities Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104 and who have a minimum of 1 year's documented experience with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health population. One FTE Team Leader who is a Licensed Professional (LCMHC/LCSW or Associate License of these) in NC who has the knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the population and age to be served (may be filled by no more than two individuals). A provisionally licensed or board-eligible QP actively seeking licensure may serve as the team leader conditional upon being fully licensed within 30 months.

Requirements

• Clinical license and Qualities Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104
• Minimum of 1 year's documented experience with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health population.
• Licensed Professional (LCMHC/LCSW or Associate License of these) in NC
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities required by the population and age to be served
• No substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.
• MUST COMPLETE PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING

Responsibilities

• Providing individual and family therapy for each client served by the team.
• Designating the appropriate team staff such that specialized clinical expertise is applied as clinically indicated for each child.
• Providing and coordinating the assessment and reassessment of the client's clinical needs.
• Providing clinical expertise and guidance to the IIH team members in the team's interventions with the client.
• Providing the clinical supervision of all members of the team for the provision of this service.
• An individual supervision plan is required for all IIH team members exclusive of the team leader.
• Coordinates and oversee the initial and ongoing assessment activities.
• Convening the child/family team for person centered planning
• Completing the initial development and ongoing revision of the PCP and ensuring its implementation
• Consulting with identified medical and non-medical providers, engaging community and natural supports, and including their input in the person-centered planning process.
• Ensuring linkage to the most clinically appropriate and effective services including arranging for psychological and psychiatric evaluations.
• Providing and coordinating behavioral health services and other interventions for the clients/families with other licensed professionals and child/family team members.
• Monitoring and documenting the status of the client's progress and the effectiveness of the strategies and interventions outlined in the PCP.
• Participating in the person-centered planning process
• Assisting with implementing a home-based behavioral support plan with the client and his/her caregivers as indicated in the PCP.
• Providing psychoeducation as indicated in the PCP.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals identified in the PCP.
• Providing crisis interventions
• Identifying providers, engaging community and natural supports, and including their input in the person centered planning process.
• Attend regularly scheduled monthly child and family team meetings to assist treatment team members with providing input and feedback.
• Assist with family integration into all services.
• Enter progress note as required after each service being rendered.
• 24/7/365 on call for the Team assigned.
• Monitors projects and exercises follow-through, adhere to time frames, and its on time for meetings and appointments.
• Attend all staff meetings and required training as scheduled.
• Represents self and situations honestly, understands and maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains positive work relationship with supervisors with peers and those who report to and/or interact with employee.
• Express ideas clearly both orally and in writing, listens well and responds appropriately.
• Provide on-going contact with consumers, families, and providers.
• Demonstrate open and clear communication between consumers, families, and providers - respond to consumer/family inquires within 1 business day or 15 minutes for crisis situation.
• Check company email daily and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Clearly understands and communicates company policies and goals related to the program.
• Effectively analyzes problems, determines appropriate action for solutions, and exhibits timely and decisive action.
• Keeps professional knowledge up to date and seeks to increase job knowledge through additional course work, seminars, and reading, demonstrate ability to apply new information to enhance effectiveness on the job
• Is a self-starter, seeks and assumes greater responsibilities, monitors projects independently, and follows through appropriately.
• Offers innovative ideas that contribute to meeting assignment objectives and department goals.

• IIH Technicians must complete all necessary training required by NC State to perform IIH services (see service definition).
