About The Position

Carolina Outreach has been assisting children, families, and adults across North Carolina with their behavioral health needs since 2003. We are a group of highly trained behavioral health professionals dedicated to promoting the emotional and physical well-being of our community in a safe and respectful environment. We provide a comprehensive and integrative array of behavioral health services and supports for people of all ages with varying levels of need, utilizing an equitable and inclusive approach. Our focus is on helping clients tap into and develop their inherent strengths to support the highest quality of life possible. This role serves as a member of the client’s clinical treatment team. The professional will create, develop, monitor, revise, and implement the client’s Person-Centered Plan. They will also participate in the development of crisis plans and transition plans for clients moving in and out of services. The position involves providing individual and family-focused support based on client needs, diagnoses, and best evidence-based practices. Written documentation, including treatment notes, goals, and plans for the medical record, is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, or psychology
  • 2 years of experience in the behavioral health field
  • Must become NVCI certified
  • Receive training in population served, and client rights/confidentiality
  • Complete training in the evidenced based family therapy model selected by agency
  • Complete crisis response training
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Current automobile insurance
  • Demonstrate having the core skills to deliver appropriate services prior to service provision
  • Able to initiate tasks and work independently as a member of the clinical team
  • Complete all agency and state-mandated trainings within required timeframes
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the client’s clinical treatment team
  • Create, develop, monitor, revise, and implement the client’s Person-Centered Plan
  • Participate in the development of crisis plans and transition plans
  • Provide individual and family focused support to clients and their families/natural supports
  • Provide written documentation as required (e.g., treatment notes, goals, plans for the medical record)
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psycho-educational activities, and other best evidence-based practice therapies
  • Work with clients, families, natural supports, and collateral agencies in reviewing, applying, and achieving goals
  • Contribute to and participate in child and family team meetings
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with care teams as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
  • Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)
