About The Position

Since 2003, we've been assisting children, families and adults across North Carolina with their behavioral health needs. Carolina Outreach is a group of highly trained behavioral health professionals dedicated to promoting the emotional and physical well-being of our community in a safe and respectful environment. We provide a comprehensive and integrative array of behavioral health services and supports for people of all ages with varying levels of need utilizing an equitable and inclusive approach. We focus on helping our clients tap into and develop their inherent strengths with the goal of supporting the highest quality of life possible for all we serve.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in social work, or psychology and 2 years experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Must hold a active license as a LCSW/A, LCMHC/A or LMFT/A/
  • An employee must become NVCI certified; receive training in population served, and client rights/confidentiality.
  • Employees will be required to complete training in the evidenced based family therapy model selected by agency as well as crisis response training as responding to family crises is an expectation of the role.
  • A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the client’s clinical treatment team and create, develop, monitor, revise, and implement the client’s Person-Centered Plan.
  • Participate in the development of crisis plans and transition plans when clients move in and out of services.
  • Provide individual and family focused support to clients and their families/natural supports based on their needs, diagnoses and best evidence-based practices.
  • Provide any written documentation as required. This will include treatment notes, goals and plans for the medical record (e.g., Service notes, person-centered plan etc.)
  • Work to implement therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psycho-educational activities and other best evidence-based practice therapies.
  • Work with clients, families, natural supports and collateral agencies in reviewing, applying and achieving goals as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Contribute to and participate in child and family team meetings.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with care teams as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
  • Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)
