About The Position

The Intelligent Systems Research and Development Support (ISRDS) contract supports NASA Ames Research Center in researching, developing and infusing advanced technology into NASA missions. Our scientists, engineers and technologists support research and development of critical enabling technologies for all of the NASA Mission Directorates. KBR is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead the current contract and to position KBR for the upcoming recompete. The current management team has led contract support for this customer for over 25 years through numerous contract transitions.

Requirements

At least 15 years of increasingly responsible leadership positions and demonstrated customer satisfaction
Strong leadership background in an R&D environment with demonstrated customer satisfaction
Broad technical background in areas such as autonomous systems, robotics and space mission support
Experience leveraging Silicon Valley relationships and strong connections with leading experts and emerging technologies

Nice To Haves

An advanced degree in engineering or computer science is desired

Responsibilities

Organizing, planning, budgeting, directing and coordinating all technical activities to achieve cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives
Lead a staff of over 100 engineers and computer scientists
Responsible for employee welfare and morale
Responsible for maintaining an effective safety culture
Responsible for maintaining excellent relations with corporate functional organizations
Meeting contract financial goals
Partner with the Center in bringing in new technology and new work opportunities
