Intelligence Specialist
About The Position
Under general supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed referrals and executive summary reports in furtherance of administrative, civil, criminal prosecutions. This role involves conducting research in furtherance of enforcement and investigative initiatives, gathering, analyzing, and developing intelligence, and managing a caseload of enforcement initiatives and case leads. The specialist will also conduct interviews of subjects and witnesses, write and review lengthy, narrative reports, and utilize various databases and web-based programs to verify and gather information and research public records. Additionally, the role includes reviewing and evaluating investigative reports, recommendations, enforcement actions and orders issued by agency staff, interpreting rules, regulations, codes, and policies, and evaluating statistical reports and data in furtherance of case lead development. The position also requires testifying at administrative hearings, and civil and criminal trials, and coordinating and planning operations and field work.
Requirements
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory, full-time experience as an investigator evaluating credit worthiness, searching for assets, verifying information concerning education, experience, and other personal qualifications bearing upon character and fitness for employment, or performing investigations involving the research, compilation and/or location of evidence or information in order to build a case or uncover activities of a criminal, corrupt, unlawful or unethical nature
- An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in '1' above
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in '1' above
- Education and/or experience equivalent to '1', '2', or '3' above
