About The Position

The Intelligence Senior Lead Analyst is a global role under the Citi Security and Investigative Services (CSIS) Intelligence Anchor. This position reports directly to the CSIS Director of Insider Threat and Investigative Intelligence and is a subject matter expert in internal investigations, insider risks, and intelligence collection and associated data analytics. Citi Security and Investigative Services’ (CSIS) mission is to serve Citi and our clients by protecting their assets and reputation as the industry-leading provider of security, investigations, and intelligence. The CSIS Intelligence anchor provides data-driven intelligence and analysis that enables Citi to mitigate threats, improve business efficiencies and reduce risk. The goal is to enhance Citi’s understanding of emerging threats in the financial services industry, risk trends for the company, and opportunities to improve or adapt business practices. We employ a vast set of internal/external data sources and tools, functioning as an independent, all-source analytic unit and maximizing partner networks and knowledge through shared work assignments, collaboration and interaction models with internal and external partners. A little bit about the role: The Insider Threat & Investigative Intelligence programs within the CSIS Intelligence anchor specifically bring together investigative intelligence and insider threat capabilities to deliver data-driven analysis that identifies and assesses fraud, misconduct, cyber, counterintelligence and insider-related threats, using investigative insights and analytics to drive targeted mitigation strategies across Citi.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience conducting investigative, intelligence, or insider threat functions within a corporate, government, or regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting and overseeing investigations and delivering meaningful post-investigation analysis.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex and sensitive information into actionable mitigation strategies and executive-level communications.
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes through collaboration and credible risk-based insights.
  • Exposure to or formal training in the intelligence cycle, including collection, analysis, dissemination, and feedback.
  • Prior participation in industry peer groups or intelligence-sharing organizations for benchmarking and best-practice adoption.
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Produce investigative intelligence and insider threat analyses, to include ensuring comprehensive post-investigation analysis is conducted to identify root causes, systemic gaps, and lessons learned, as well as driving the integration of analytical findings into preventive controls, program enhancements, and long-term mitigation strategies.
  • Understand insider risk taxonomies within the organization, including changes to the threat landscape resulting from emerging technologies, geopolitical and sociopolitical factors, and other organizational changes, and support the development of a program that drives prevention, detection, and remediation of insider threats.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders effectively and participate in industry groups and benchmarking activities to facilitate information-sharing and build a dynamic and agile program.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise and skills to provide strategic oversight to other members of the team, including recommending changes, informing prioritization of efforts, and allocation of resources.
