About The Position

CrowdStrike's Counter Adversary Operations team is hiring individuals for our internship program. This internship role will involve hands-on experience collecting and analyzing data being shared on the cybercriminal underground that could impact the security and privacy of CrowdStrike customers and their users. Interns on our team are assigned a variety of projects with daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. The internship is fully remote and requires no travel. Interns are allowed to work remotely from an alternative location for up to 2 weeks. Interns are also invited to work out of the CrowdStrike office located closest to their remote location.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year University course with at least 1-2 years of study remaining after the internship.
  • Working towards a BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, International Relations, Math, Physics, or a related field.
  • Graduating in 2027 or 2028.
  • Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, or proficiency in analytical languages such as SQL or R.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools and a drive to leverage them effectively to unlock greater value and accelerate delivery.
  • Functional or professional fluency in one or more of the following languages: Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese are strongly preferred), Korean (strongly preferred), Spanish (strongly preferred), Arabic, or Farsi.
  • An eagerness to learn through hands-on experience and collaborative projects specific to your internship field.
  • A passion for extracting insights out of unstructured and ambiguous datasets.
  • Appreciation for CrowdStrike’s mission and principled in the concepts of security, trust and safety, and privacy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and frequently, and work well within a collaborative team environment.

  • Interest in cybersecurity or data privacy.
  • Some knowledge of OSINT tooling and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience interacting with the deep and dark web.
  • Command line tooling.
  • Coursework in data warehousing or database systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support a wide variety of data collection activities spanning multiple source types and collection methods.
  • Build and maintain automated collection pipelines leveraging APIs and web scraping techniques across open and closed sources.
  • Configure and manage collection tooling to ensure reliable and efficient data acquisition.
  • Conduct and evaluate open source research and exploratory data analysis on various cyber security topics supporting CrowdStrike customers.
