About The Position

Crisis24, a GardaWorld company, seeks an open-source intelligence (OSINT) analyst II based in Annapolis, Maryland, US. The analyst will join the a global team dedicated to bespoke geopolitical, security, and protective intelligence products within Crisis24's Embedded Intelligence Services. This role will require weekend and holiday work on a rotating basis. Schedule will be a hybrid model of remote and in-office work in Annapolis, Maryland, US. Under the Program Manager's general supervision, the Intelligence Analyst II performs a wide variety of duties for a large roster of international clients, such as threat assessments, social media and dark web monitoring, global threat monitoring, geopolitical analysis, open-source investigations, travel security assessments, and related tasks. This position requires some meetings outside of regular working hours to accommodate team members and clients across multiple time zones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • 2+ years of experience in intelligence analysis or closely related fields
  • Superb analytical writing skills; Demonstrated experience writing clearly, technically, and concisely in a professional setting, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with protective intelligence workflows, best practices, and methodologies
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring on a variety of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Reddit, Gab, Bluesky, Chan boards, Telegram, etc.
  • Ability to collect data and synthesize incomplete and contradictory information
  • Working knowledge of Google Earth and Maps or alternative mapping software
  • Familiarity with advanced Boolean queries
  • Global awareness and understanding of how geopolitical, environmental, and security threats can adversely affect a multinational organization
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to take initiative and identify opportunities for self-improvement
  • Superb judgment and critical thinking

Nice To Haves

  • strong preference for fluency in French and/or German
  • strong preference for experience drafting formal risk assessments aligned with US intelligence community standards

Responsibilities

  • Carry out extensive open-source research on a variety of topics, such as person of interest (POI) investigations, online exposure assessments (OEAs), geopolitical analysis, travel risk assessments, site and event risk assessments, and other bespoke intelligence products.
  • Alignment with US intelligence community standards and best practices.
  • Conduct social media monitoring and intelligence (SOCMINT), both manually and via investigative tools.
  • Conduct dark web monitoring using a secure platform.
  • Assist with travel risk management, including sending pre-departure briefs, monitoring VIP travel, and creating travel-related bulletins, etc.
  • Analyze and assess risks to clients by leveraging sensitive data and proprietary technology to gauge client impact.
  • Write and disseminate clear analytical assessments in accordance with the Crisis24 style guide.
  • Utilize structured analytical techniques to deliver high-quality intelligence products.
  • Collect and analyze data to deliver visualization products that provide clear impact and insight.
  • Conduct detailed mapping in Google MyMaps.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the client such as participating in meetings, project tracking, and supporting partner outreach.
  • Collaborate with an international team across multiple time zones, maintaining clear communication with team members and clients.
  • Participate in regular trainings and webinars to stay current on world events, security trends, OSINT techniques, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service to international clients.
  • Operate with the highest standards of confidentiality and information security.
