About The Position
This is not a cyber security or data analysis position. This role supports a 24/7/365 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), monitoring global events, alerts, and emerging security threats. The analyst will assess and prioritize incidents to determine potential impact to people, operations, and assets, and monitor intelligence and global news to identify and communicate emerging risks. Responsibilities include managing and escalating incidents, preparing incident reports, briefings, and presentations, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with security teams for effective incident response.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in intelligence, security operations, threat assessment, incident response, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and information-gathering skills, with the ability to quickly assess and prioritize large volumes of information.
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, and remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of global news, current events, and geopolitical developments.
- Excellent written, verbal, documentation, and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with geographic mapping/GIS tools.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with security and incident monitoring tools.
- International travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Support a 24/7/365 GSOC, monitoring global events, alerts, and emerging security threats.
- Assess and prioritize incidents to determine potential impact to people, operations, and assets.
- Monitor intelligence and global news to identify and communicate emerging risks.
- Manage and escalate incidents in accordance with best practices and client-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, briefings, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed documentation and effective handoffs across 24/7 operations.
- Collaborate with security teams and stakeholders to support timely and effective incident response.
- Adhere to applicable information security procedures and policies.
- Report any information security incidents or potential information security threats to the Information Security Officer.
- Take a proactive approach to information security.
