Turing invites intellectual property law experts to contribute to projects that fine-tune AI models. The role involves evaluating how AI responds to U.S. intellectual-property legal questions, including issues in patent prosecution, trademark registration, copyright protection, and trade secret litigation. No prior AI experience is required; expertise in U.S. IP law is the focus. The expert will review AI-generated answers to legal hypotheticals, assess legal reasoning against a structured rubric, identify gaps in the model’s analysis, and provide detailed annotations and written feedback. They will also collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals. The freelance engagement is flexible at 10–30 hours per week, initially for approximately one month, with possible extension depending on performance and project needs.
