About The Position

The Boeing Law and Global Compliance team is seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) Auditor with solid technical and ethical characteristics to join our Boeing Intellectual Property team in Mesa, AZ, Seal Beach, CA, Berkeley, MO, or Seattle, WA. Successful candidates will consistently focus on the big picture while maintaining attention to detail, enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and disciplines, and have strong decision-making abilities, leadership and superior communication and collaboration skills. Audits may be performed remotely or in person, as the audit requires. At this time, the position is anticipated to require travel 10-15% of time. In addition, the position will report to a manager in the U.S. West Coast and be part of a small global team, so the position requires the ability to take calls and participate in meetings during times that accommodate all US and India time zones (which may be done remotely as appropriate).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience performing audits (financial, compliance, operational)
  • 2+ years of experience performing data analysis
  • Successful candidates must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan and execute detailed audit test plans; validate 3rd party compliance to various contractual requirements and identify non-conformities and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct audit fieldwork using appropriate auditing methods, industry best practices and customized plans based on situational risk-based factors
  • Draft and complete detailed audit reports based on fieldwork, supporting evidence, multifaceted analyses and implications of findings and observations
  • Provide clear, timely communication on project status to team, internal stakeholders, 3rd parties and executive leadership, including recommended resolution options to address non-conformities and non-compliance
  • Work closely with an outside audit firm
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects across teams
