About The Position

The Integrative Care RN will utilize the nursing process to perform whole person/whole systems assessments of patients and families, identifying needs and establishing goals. This role involves facilitating a person-centered, relationship-based therapeutic partnership, developing a plan of care based on patient and family priorities. The RN will provide integrative healthcare education and practices, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and modify care as needed. Communication of relevant patient care information for continuity of care, participation in patient care conferences and rounds, and application of basic problem-solving skills are essential. The position also requires reporting suspicions of abuse and neglect, promoting pain and symptom management, and documenting services provided. The RN will also follow up on referrals in a timely manner, competently prioritize workflow, submit supply requests, ensure work areas are organized and safe, and address barriers to care. This role involves completing special assignments, striving for increased productivity, and proactively contributing to a positive work environment. Performance improvement activities, evidence-based care, and professional inquiry in integrative nursing are key components. The RN will orient and supervise volunteers, contribute to the education of students and other healthcare professionals, and share knowledge with colleagues. Maintaining current professional nursing practice, acquiring continuing education, and integrating new knowledge and skills are expected. The RN will engage in multidisciplinary team processes, address conflicts constructively, and promote an atmosphere of cooperation, respect, and trust. Authentic presence in responding to the needs of colleagues is also important. Finally, the RN will complete required daily/weekly documentation according to division guidelines and complete fee-for-service documentation if applicable.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing and commitment to BSN
  • 2+ years integrative healthcare experience
  • Registered Nurse License
  • Certification in Reiki I or Healing Touch I

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing
  • 2+ years of pediatric nursing experience
  • Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) or other related integrative healthcare certification or licensure

Responsibilities
