About The Position

Saab, Inc. has an opening for the role of Integration & Test Engineer on our Surface Movement Radar program for the FAA. As a critical member of the team, you will support the deployment of radar systems at some of the largest airports in the US. The position is based in our East Syracuse, NY office, with extensive travel required through 2028 (expect to be on site at an airport for 2-3 weeks every 8 weeks).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited degree program, with a major in an engineering discipline, computer science, physics, or mathematics.
  • Experience in a technical environment
  • The ability to be creative and solve problems
  • To be comfortable in a test lab environment
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and Microsoft Windows applications
  • Experience with testing a cloud service architecture
  • The ability to manage a dynamic workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, concise, and correct written and oral communication, including grammar, spelling, and composition
  • High standards of quality and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel minimum of 25% in support of program and business efforts.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
  • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Discovering, investigating, and solving problems
  • Troubleshooting anomalies
  • Conducting system-level production tests to ensure proper manufacturing and assembly
  • Executing test procedures for formal selloff with customer witnesses
  • Integrating hardware and software components
  • Performing data analysis using custom test tools
  • Generating test reports
  • Interacting with internal and external stakeholders on technical and programmatic issues
