About The Position

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms. Job Overview We are seeking an Integration Technician responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of our autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). You will work closely with our engineering and development teams to ensure the seamless integration of various components and maritime systems. You will be critical in delivering fully functional ASVs that meet the rigorous standards of the DoD. The hours for 2nd shift are 2:30pm - 10:00pm.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system integration, preferably in the maritime or defense industry
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, and sensor technologies is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • This role requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status. As defined by U.S. law, individuals who are any one of the following are considered to be a “U.S. Person”: (1) U.S. citizens, (2) legal permanent residents (a.k.a. green card holders), and (3) certain protected classes of asylees and refugees, as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • System Integration: Collaborate with engineers to integrate hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems into ASV platforms
  • Assembly and Configuration: Assemble and configure ASV components, including propulsion systems, navigation equipment, payloads, and control systems
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of integrated ASV systems
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to integration, ensuring timely resolution to maintain project timelines
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of integration processes, test results, and configuration changes to support documentation and quality assurance requirements
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, and project managers, to coordinate integration activities and achieve project goals
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
