About The Position

Ameresco is hiring a detail-oriented Integration Technician to join our Mesa, Arizona warehouse operations team. Under the guidance of our lead Electrician, you'll read blueprints and control schematics to assemble, test, and troubleshoot control panels. We're looking for someone with CAD visualization skills, precision with layouts, and solid documentation habits. This is a steady, hands-on role with mentorship and a direct hand in building clean energy equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience of commercial or industrial solar electric maintenance in the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance of related electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits.
  • Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach, climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time with hands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Use various types of tools (e.g., chop saw, grinder, drill press, disk sander, handheld power tools, precision measuring, etc.).
  • Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Solar PV a plus.
  • Travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.

Responsibilities

  • Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
  • Reads and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
  • Completes written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed.
  • Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
  • Be available for after-hours and weekend callouts/shifts as needed.
  • Perform assigned duties as an individual or team member during all phases of assembly, integration, and testing.
  • Make basic layouts on parts or assemblies to establish reference points and to check dimensions.
  • Must be capable of visualizing CAD drawings and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
