This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, enterprise integration, and healthcare technology — helping Vantive modernize how we connect systems that ultimately support patient care.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building solutions on AWS
  • Solid knowledge of core AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS, EventBridge
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation)
  • Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, security groups, PrivateLink)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, X-Ray)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing integration solutions
  • Strong understanding of API-first design, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous messaging patterns
  • Familiarity with integration patterns: event sourcing, pub/sub, saga, request-reply
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, clinical systems, or supply chain platforms)
  • Knowledge of data transformation, mapping, and protocol mediation
  • Experience with middleware, iPaaS, or integration platforms
  • General Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and architecture diagrams
  • Comfortable working in agile delivery teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5–8+ years total experience in software engineering or architecture roles
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (Professional certification is a plus)
  • Good communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Awareness of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) is a plus
  • Awareness of AI/ML concepts and how they apply to enterprise workflows
  • Familiarity with cloud-based AI/ML services (any provider) such as natural language processing, document extraction, or predictive analytics
  • Interest in or exposure to generative AI, large language models, or AI-assisted automation
  • Understanding of how AI capabilities can be integrated into existing application architectures
  • Awareness of responsible AI principles and data governance considerations

  • Exposure to agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar)
  • Understanding of tool-use patterns where AI agents invoke APIs, query databases, or trigger workflows autonomously
  • Awareness of multi-agent architectures — coordinating specialized agents for complex business processes
  • Interest in applying agentic AI to enterprise use cases such as intelligent document processing, automated decision support, or self-healing integrations
  • Understanding of human-in-the-loop patterns, guardrails, and safety mechanisms for autonomous AI systems
  • Awareness of memory and context management strategies for long-running agent interactions
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or regulated industries

  • Collaborate with senior architects to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate AWS services for specific use cases
  • Support delivery teams with technical guidance, design reviews, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in solution design for hybrid integration scenarios (cloud-to-on-premise, SaaS-to-platform)
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices and CI/CD pipeline design
