About The Position

The Integration Specialist is a technical, partner-facing role responsible for enabling third-party software vendors, technology partners, merchants, and solution providers to integrate their applications with the NCR Voyix Connect payment gateway platform. The specialist serves as the primary technical integration partner throughout the development lifecycle, from solution design and planning through development, testing, certification, and production readiness. Integrations may involve POS, e-commerce, mobile, unattended, cloud-based, and other payment-enabled applications. The role combines payments knowledge and technical integration expertise with direct collaboration with external development teams to translate payment requirements into scalable, secure, production-ready solutions. It includes providing guidance on integration designs and payment flows, troubleshooting issues across distributed systems, supporting testing and certification, improving partner documentation and enablement, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver successful integrations.

  • Experience supporting external developers, ISVs, technology partners, or merchants with API/SDK integrations.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, authentication, webhooks, SDKs, and modern application integration patterns.
  • Ability to troubleshoot distributed transaction flows across multiple systems.
  • Experience with API testing and diagnostic tools such as Postman and log-analysis platforms.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to developers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and partner-management skills.

  • Experience with POS, restaurant, retail, fuel, or e-commerce payment applications.
  • Familiarity with ISO 8583 or other payment messaging protocols.
  • Experience with cloud-based payment platforms and SaaS architectures.
  • Basic software development or scripting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for third-party vendors and partners integrating with Voyix Connect.
  • Guide partners through onboarding, architecture review, development, testing, certification, pilot, and production launch.

  • Provide technical guidance on APIs, SDKs, authentication, transaction messaging, payment flows, tokenization, device interactions, and gateway connectivity.
  • Assist developers with implementation questions, troubleshooting, API behavior, error handling, transaction lifecycle management, and integration best practices.
  • Review partner integration designs and recommend approaches that improve scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Support card-present and card-not-present payment scenarios and alternative payment methods.
  • Guide partners on payment capabilities and transaction flows, including authorization, capture, sale, void, refund, pre-authorization, incremental authorization, EMV and contactless, e-commerce transactions, tokenization, stored credentials, recurring payments, digital and mobile wallets, commercial and fleet payments, gift payments, store-and-forward, and offline scenarios.

  • Coordinate certification activities where required and validate partner implementations against Voyix Connect technical and payment requirements.
  • Troubleshoot transaction failures across application, gateway, payment device, network, processor, and acquirer layers.
  • Analyze API requests and responses, logs, transaction traces, error codes, and other diagnostic information to identify root causes.
  • Support pilot deployments and production-readiness reviews, partnering with internal engineering and operations teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Develop and improve integration guides, sample implementations, FAQs, troubleshooting materials, certification checklists, and developer documentation.
  • Help partners become increasingly self-sufficient when developing against Voyix Connect.
  • Identify common integration challenges and recommend improvements to APIs, SDKs, documentation, tooling, and developer experience.
