Integration Software Engineer
About The Position
Our client is looking for a qualified full-time Integration Software Engineer to help facilitate both the ongoing support of existing systems as well as system upgrades and integration for new systems. This support is needed starting immediately and does not have a planned end date. The position will be reassessed on a regular basis. The role involves supporting internal users at 26 production manufacturing sites in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The technical environment is transitioning from predominantly Windows Servers running .NET Framework applications (C#, ASP.Net/WPF, Oracle Database on VMware ESXi) to a microservice architecture using containers on Kubernetes (.NET Core, Blazor, PostgreSQL on VMware Tanzu).
Requirements
- Computer science background (Computer Science degree or equivalent experience required)
- 2-4+ years of experience in a production manufacturing setting
- C#(.net)/Blazor and Java
- PostgreSQL and Oracle (Must understand Relational Databases)
- Command of Windows/Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD)
- Operates natively within Agile/Scrum Principles
Responsibilities
- Development or modification of manufacturing middleware
- Support related to software and interfacing with key users using Service Now
- Daily team standups using Agile and use of Gitlab for software manage
- Collaboration with key individuals and team lead
- Documentation of processes, installation, and release notes
- Work with SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) on observability of middleware/software
